About Artheum’s founder

Experience a World of Arts through Artheum Vision

Nino Azzi’s envisioned Earth & Arts Foundation would build on his lifelong dedication to art, creativity, and peace initiatives like Artheum. Its core purpose centers on preserving a legacy that emphasizes arts, cultures, and creativity as vital counterbalances in high-tech societies.
Mission Focus
The foundation aims to promote art as a tool for social transformation, environmental awareness, and global peace. It would foster interdisciplinary projects connecting communities across cities. Activities will include workshops, exhibitions, and collaborations to nurture future generations of artists and cultural stewards.
Legacy Goals
Drawing from Artheum’s model, it seeks to create open art spaces for individual growth and collective harmony. The emphasis lies on bridging art with sustainability, ensuring creativity remains accessible amid technological dominance.

This aligns with Azzi’s history of art happenings and museum partnerships for positive change.

Nino Azzi is a visionary art curator and cultural entrepreneur whose lifelong dedication has profoundly shaped the contemporary art scenes across multiple continents. Over the past 28 years, he has passionately developed transformative art projects that have redefined artistic engagement and community interaction, particularly through pioneering gallery spaces and dynamic cultural platforms.
A Trailblazer in Art Spaces and Cultural Initiatives
Mr. Azzi’s journey began with the establishment of the Art Lounge gallery spaces in both Beirut and Montreal—vibrant hubs that have nurtured emerging talents and brought groundbreaking contemporary art to diverse audiences. These spaces became more than galleries; they evolved into creative sanctuaries where art and dialogue flourished.
His commitment to fostering peace and cultural exchange is embodied in his founding of the Artheum Arts for Peace organization. Through this platform, Mr. Azzi orchestrated a series of landmark art fairs and events that have become cornerstones of Beirut’s cultural calendar. Notable among these are the Beirut Photo Fair, Beirut Bloom Contemporary Arts, and Beirut Design Expo—each event celebrated for its innovative curation and ability to spotlight regional and international artists. Complementing these visual arts initiatives, he also produced hundreds of music events spanning all genres, enriching the cultural fabric and promoting artistic diversity.
Expanding Horizons: From New York to Asia
Never one to be confined by geography, Mr. Azzi expanded his influence to New York City with the creation of Art Love New York, a groundbreaking sidewalk art event that spilled into the very heart of the metropolis. This platform transformed public spaces into vibrant canvases, inviting passersby to experience art in unexpected, intimate ways.
His passion for Asian and Japanese arts led to the founding of Lotus Loft, a dedicated gallery celebrating the rich traditions of Tibetan and Himalayan art. This unique space has become a beacon for collectors and enthusiasts seeking authentic cultural expressions from these regions.
Further deepening his engagement with Asian art forms, Mr. Azzi launched Sukiya Art & Tea, a refined establishment specializing in the ceremonial arts of tea-making from Japan and China. Sukiya also boasts an exquisite collection of Ukiyo-e woodblock prints, featuring masterpieces by legendary artists such as Hiroshige and Yoshitoshi, offering visitors an immersive journey into traditional Japanese aesthetics.
Innovating Cultural Experiences
In recent years, Mr. Azzi has continued to innovate by creating the Diwan Music Festival, a world music celebration that brings together diverse musical traditions and fosters cross-cultural dialogue through sound. His latest venture is a groundbreaking art project that expands the Cargo Art Fair, promising to push the boundaries of contemporary art presentation and engagement even further. Details of this ambitious project are eagerly awaited by the art community worldwide.
Mr. Nino Azzi’s multifaceted career is a testament to his unwavering passion for art as a catalyst for change, connection, and cultural enrichment. Through his visionary projects and tireless dedication, he has left an indelible mark on the global arts landscape, inspiring generations to come
